Every Julay Couture dress is meticulously handcrafted in our Richmond studio. We use traditional and modern couture techniques to ensure the highest quality craftsmanship in every gown.

Do you offer dress-for-hire?

Yes, we offer a select range of gowns available for hire. This service is ideal for brides or special occasions where a one-time wear is preferred. Please contact us to inquire about availability and rental terms.

What will happen during my first consultation?

Your initial consultation is an opportunity to discuss your vision, preferences, and wedding details. We will assess your style, fabric choices, and desired silhouette while offering expert guidance on design options. We will take your measurements and explore ideas that bring your dream dress to life.

How long is the consultation?

Each consultation lasts approximately one hour, so we recommend setting aside enough time to fully discuss your vision and explore design options.

What should I bring to my appointment/consultation?

To make the most of your consultation, we recommend bringing:

• Any inspiration images or mood boards you’ve gathered

• Specific questions about fabrics, silhouettes, or design features

• Shoes with a heel height similar to what you plan to wear on your wedding day

If you have existing gowns or accessories you’d like to incorporate into your design, feel free to bring those along.

Do you supply fabrics?

Yes, we source and supply premium fabrics, including silk, lace, and tulle, to bring your vision to life. If you have a specific fabric in mind, let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

How much do your dresses cost?

As each dress is custom-made, pricing varies depending on design complexity, fabric choice, and detailing. We do not display prices on our website as every gown is tailored to the individual. Do you create dresses for bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, or special occasions?

Yes! While we specialize in bridal couture, we also design custom gowns for bridesmaids, mothers of the bride/groom, and formal occasions. If you're interested in a bespoke dress for a special event, please book a consultation.

Do you offer alterations?

Yes, we provide alterations to ensure the perfect fit for your dress. If your gown is designed and made by Julay Couture, we include necessary fittings as part of the process. We also offer alterations for bridal gowns purchased elsewhere, subject to availability.
